To apply for a Japan e-Visa, Indian citizens and foreign nationals residing in India will need the following documents:

• Travel itinerary: Flight tickets and hotel bookings 
• Cover letter: A letter stating the purpose of the visit 
• Supporting documents: Depending on the applicant's occupation, type of visit, and other factors, additional documents may be required 
• Passport: A valid passport with at least six months validity from the arrival date in Japan 
• Visa application form: A completed and signed visa application form 
• Passport photo: A recent passport-sized photograph that meets Japan's size and quality standards - Size: The photo should be 45 mm x 45 mm (2 in x 2 in)
• Financial documents: Bank statements for the last six months with a minimum balance of INR 1,00,000
