Day 01
Srinagar to Gulmarg - Arrival & Transfer

Approx Distance: 60 Km • Est. Travel Time: 3 hours
Arrival at Srinagar Airport and drive towards the Gulamrg and evening is free to explore local markets on your own.
ADDITIONAL SIGHTSEEING : The Drung Waterfall is an extremely popular tourist attraction located in the Tangmarg tehsil of Gulmarg, Baramulla. A cascading waterfall set amidst majestic mountains, it freezes completely during winter due to the extremely low temperature. This frozen waterfall is a must-visit in the area . Additional charges may apply on a direct payment basis, if any. The area is even more breathtaking during the wintertime when everything is frozen; the waterfall freezes as it comes down, forming icicles. Even the lake and streams freeze, though they remain accessible, and one can have some fun in the ice-cold waters if brave enough! There are stalls around that serve tea and snacks for people to have while they take in the magnificent scenes. There is also a small temple in the vicinity.
How to Reach Drung Waterfall : Drung waterfall can only be accessed through ATV or the chain taxis that are available in Tangmarg. It costs around 2000-2500 to hire a cab for Drung Waterfall and Gulmarg.

It is said that the famous saint of Kashmir Sheikh ul Aalam Sheikh Noor din Noorani has prayed here and once when he was in search of water in the meadows,to offer prayers, he pricked the ground with his stick to search for water and milk came out. He asked the milk that you can only be used for drinking and not performing ablution.Hearing this milk at once changed its state to water and the meadow got its name Doodpathri.The water which is at present flowing through the meadows has a milky appearance from the distance and remains very cold throughout the year.The lush green grasses over the vast meadows and silver shining streams running over the large stones further increase its beauty. Doodhpathri is sloping grassy landscapes with a diversity of multicolored flowers up to Chang. The famous Tosamaidanlies in the west of Doodpathri. Doodhpathri lies in a bowl shaped valley in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, at an altitude of 2,730 m (8,957 ft) above sea level. It is an alpine valley covered with snow clad mountains and the meadows of Pine Fir and Deodar. The natural meadows, which are covered with snow in winter, allow the growth of wild flowers such as daisies, forget-me-nots and butter cups during spring and summer.   • Driver details shall be given to you 1 day prior to your arrival date by evening 07:00 P.M.
  • 50 % advance payment to be deposited at the time of booking confirmation and rest amount 15 days prior to check in date.
  • We shall release the booking without prior intimation if payment not received as hotels booking is release D-15 in case payment is not made.
  • Full payment in form of BANK TRANSFER / CHEQUE / BANK DEPOSIT, for those whose travel falls within D-15.
  • Kindly share your GSTIN Certificate (if any) in advance to raise the bills accordingly, as any amendment in the invoice will not be possible once it is generated.
  • For those who have made part payments, they will have to make the full payment before the expiry of the final cut off date as per the details mentioned above.
  • Kindly be informed that, SMILING TRIPS & HOLIDAYS PRIVATE LIMITED does not have a policy of dealing in credit. For availing the service, full & final payment has to be released into the account before the arrival of the guest.
  • Further please note in case the Full payment is not realized into our account 10 Days prior to arrival; the booking will be cancelled without any intimation / notice. Refund after charging cancellation, arising due to such happening will be returned through bank transfer / cheque / bank deposits within 7 working days.

All cancellations are to be communicated in writing. Cancellation policy will be applicable ON FULL TOUR PRICE (transport, hotels & other services), in spite of any Flight / Train cancellation has affected the operation of the Tours.

  • INR 2000 /- per person will be charged as cancellation fee as we have put into the efforts in tour planning and bookings. If you do not want refund then it will be adjusted in the future bookings.
